Borth Animalarium is a rapidly expanding Zoo in mid Wales.

Dedicated to conservation they have a wide variety of animals including some endangered species.

From lion and crocodiles to bunny petting there is something for all ages.

Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre sits at the head of a dramatic valley and has commanding views of Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains. The visitor centre is the starting point for a range of waymarked trails for walkers, mountain bikers, runners and horse riders. It is well-known for its long established tradition of daily feeding of Red Kites, Wales’s National Bird of Prey.

Cambrian Safaris provide excursions into the Cambrian Mountains and tours of Wales in a Land Rover Discovery. ​

or arrange a meeting point.

CAT

CAT is an education and visitor centre demonstrating practical solutions for sustainability. They cover all aspects of green living: environmental building, renewable energy and organic growing.

Located just north of Machynlleth the site is open 7 days a week, with 7 acres of interactive displays. There is plenty to do and it is a good day out.

Constitution Hill offers a fantastic view of Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay.

Take a ride to the top on the Cliff Railway, which is the longest funicular cliff railway in Britain

Once your reach the top check out the views from one of the World's largest camera obscuras and have a bite in the Cafe.

Home to 9 craft studios and lots of opportunities for hands-on fun.
Pottery painting, candle dipping, chocolate making, herbal crafting and furniture building workshops are all available.
Watch the talented designers at work and buy their unique designs.

Like King Arthur's Labyrinth, this attraction / activity also starts from the Corris Craft Centre. It provides visitors with a rare opportunity to explore the virtually untouched underground workings of an old Welsh Slate Mine with one of Wales' top Mine Explorers.

The main attraction at the Corris Craft Centre, King Arthur's Labyrinth is an underground adventure set in an old Welsh slate mine.
Sail with hooded boatmen, pass through a magical underground waterfall to a time of myth, magic and King Arthur.
Other attractions include the Corris Craft Centre and Corris Mine Explorers, an opportunity to explore an old Welsh Slate Mine.

The Silver Mountain Experience, a place where magic, history, fear and fun clash in a whirlwind of adventure. Atop the Silver Mountain is something for everyone, from the depths of the Black Chasm to the mystical hunt for a shy dragon, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Baguettes, sandwiches, panninis, burgers, coffee. Where possibly all ingredients are locally produced.

There are two Spartacus shops in Aberytwyth. One at the bottom of Penglais Hill and one near to the Railway Station which has some special ice creams as well as sandwiches etc.

Keep your eyes open, Spartacus sandwiches are also available from a number of other retailers in the area.

 

Only a ten minute drive away the Druid Inn is always happy to welcome Brynmeurig's guests.

Soak up the friendly atmosphere as you enjoy pub food that is of the highest quality.

Round it all off with a couple of pints of some of the best kept Ale in Ceredigion.

Running from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge, this powerful narrow gauge steam train climbs 200m to Devil's Bridge.

Once you arrive take time to visit the spectacular waterfalls.

Ynyslas is just north of Borth. It has a stunning stretch of golden sand stretching from Borth to the Dyfi estuary in the north.

The Dyfi Estuary is a wildfowl haven, Ynyslas dunes are the largest in Ceredigion.

The views are breath taking and the visitor centre is full of useful information and a public toilet.
